Marketing Officer – Product Management
About this job
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To provide strong support to the Marketing Team by managing products and services, increasing profitability of existing products and developing new products based on market requirements; effectively researching, designing and costing various campaign projects and proposals, efficiently planning and executing same within budget; maintaining and updating industry data bases, recommending effective marketing policies and proposals, coordinating special events, establishing and maintaining positive communication links to the media, business community and stakeholders, conducting in-depth research on new and existing products and services and presenting proposals on same, supporting the Banking Services Department’s initiative in order to enhance the Bank’s corporate image, improve service and contribute to the profitable growth and development of the National Bank of Dominica Ltd (NBD) Group.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Product Management
- Provides input-in the development of NBD’s overall Strategic Marketing & Product Management Plan, with specific emphasis on the development of new products and the management and enhancement of existing products.
- Analyzes competitive offerings to identify differentiators and recommends changes and adjustments as required.
- Develops and maintains an up-to-date inventory of NBD’s existing products, and monitors, plans and forecasts product performance at all stages of the product lifecycle.
- Tests, evaluates and prepares reports on new product offerings in appropriate market segments as directed.
- Gathers and prioritises product and customer requirements, working closely with manager/s, the Market Research Analyst, the Information Systems Unit, the Product Committee and staff to introduce new products and drive new product development, ensuring that the new product is in alignment with and supports NBD’s overall strategy and goals.
- Develops and implements go-to-market strategies.
- Initiates market research to measure performance and service, monitor competitors, pricing policies and public perception of the Bank’s products, and customer interaction as directed.
